Pre-Intensive/Post Intensive Options
Consultation seeks to train parents in developing a treatment program. Parents are invited to ‘brainstorming’ meetings to discuss treatment specifics with other parents and staff on a monthly basis.
*Consult Model: Under this model therapist are employed by the family while ACT provides consultation (monthly or bi-monthly) to parents on progressing treatment.
*20 Hour Model: ACT provides 18-20 hours weekly of one-to-one therapy with three hours of senior supervision.
*10 Hour Model: ACT provides 8-10 hours weekly of one-to-one therapy with two hours of senior supervision.
Social Skills Class
ACT offers social skills groups. Groups meet weekly over the course of an academic semester. These classes are aimed at bringing together blends of children that have skills to offer and skills to note in others. Group and individual goals are shared with parents.
* Teen Group: This group targets Asperger and high-functioning Autism in building esteem and relationships. The aim of this group is to develop a basis of success within the natural setting. Weekly outings bring the group together to experience shared enjoyment while working individual goals.
School Consultation
ACT offers behavioral consultation with schools in addressing non-desired behaviors. These services include charting, and developing behavioral plans.
